There are
two kinds of light - the glow that
illuminates, and the
glare that obscures.
+ + James Thurber

It is better to
sleep on things beforehand than
lie awake about them
afterwards.

Fear less, hope
more; eat less, chew more;
whine less, breathe more; talk
less, say more;
hate less, love more;
and all good things are yours. + + Swedish Proverb

As human beings, we need to know that we are not alone, that we are not crazy or completely out of our minds, that there are other people out there who feel as we do, live as we do, love as we do, who are like us.

I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?

I'm an instant star. Just add water and stir.

A person is a success if they get up in the morning and gets to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.

Enjoy the
little things, for one day you may
look back and realize they were the
big things.
+ + Robert Brault

No one is free, even the birds are chained to the sky.
-- Bob Dylan

The truth will set you
free,
but first it will make you
miserable.
+ + James A. Garfield

"I like the night. Without the dark, you would never see the stars."

"Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars--points of light and reason...And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn't see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything"
-Edward Cullen
Reach for the stars, even if you
have to stand on a cactus. + + Susan Longacre

My test of a
good novel is dreading
to begin the
last chapter.
+ + Thomas Helm

The world is
round and the place which
may seem like the end may also be only the
beginning.
+ + Ivy Baker Priest

If one dream should fall and break into a thousand
pieces, never be afraid to pick one of
those pieces up and begin again.
+ + Flavia Weedn

It's not easy taking my problems one at a
time when they refuse to get in line.
+ + Ashleigh Brilliant

I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!
~Dr. Seuss

Maybe all one can do is hope to
end up with the right regrets.
+ + Arthur Miller

Some people are always grumbling because
roses have thorns;
I am thankful that thorns have roses.
+ + Alphonse Karr

Life's not always fair.
Sometimes you can get a splinter
even sliding down a rainbow.
+ + Cherralea Morgen

Wherever you go, no matter what the weather,
always bring your own sunshine.
+ + Anthony J. D'Angelo

When life knocks you down, try to land on your back.
Because if you can look up, you can get up.

So often time it happens, we all live our
life in
chains, and we
never even know
we have the key.
+ + The Eagles

Think what a
better world it would be if we all,
the whole world, had cookies and milk about
three o'clock every
afternoon and then lay
down on our blankets for a
nap.
+ + Barbara Jordan

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck.
Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test
the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, life would be a smoothly paved, straight,
flat road to nowhere; safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.
(kind of like my life's philosophy, but I didn't write it)

We were trying different things,
we were smoking funny things,
making love besides the lake to our favorite song.
Sipping whiskey from the bottle,
not thinking about tomorrow.

They say that good things take time.
But really great things happen in the blink of an eye.

Do you remember or should I rewind?

I don't completely know who I am,
but I'm comfortable in my own skin.

After awhile, you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul. You learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't mean security. You begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises. You begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes open, with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child. You learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans. After awhile, you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much. So plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. You learn that you really can endure, that you really are strong, and that you really do have worth. You learn that with every goodbye, there's a hello.

Sorry for the never update, I could give you a bunch of different reasons why, but it's here now and that's all. :)
